TaylorMade Introduces Stunning P760 Irons

The P760 are built and designed to be progressive forged players irons, and since the first glance, they’re obviously created to pleas better players, there’s no way around it. The characteristics of the new P760 series are inspired by their P750, P770 and P790 siblings, which are all Tour (as in combat) proven. Obviously, the P760 borrow both the shaping attributes and the company’s state of the art technologies which are to be found in older generations, and interestingly enough, these babies are marketed as effective replacements for the P750 and P770. Judging from TaylorMade’s press release, the new P760 forged irons are designed to deliver the performance of the former P750 in the short irons, while improving the performance of the P770 when it comes to long irons. Basically, the P760 are a 2-for-the-price-of-1 kind of a deal, delivering the best of both of both worlds, and then some. To give you a little bit of history, the TaylorMade P700 family of irons has been incredibly popular with both amateurs and Tour pros. Among the latter, we should mention the likes of Justin Rose, McIlroy or Dustin Johnson, all of whom were known for playing with the P730 irons. Also, Francesco Molinari, Day and Rahm used with great success the P750s, not to mention a respectable amount of club-golfers known for their P790 preference. The new forged P760 irons from TaylorMade feature a progressive design, which is individually optimized for each of the clubs, from 3-iron to AW, to deliver Tour-proven performance and shaping.

It’s important to mention that the progressive design in the new P760 irons family is part of the iron’s construction, i.e. it goes beyond shaping. This unique iron design in the P760 uses a forged composite/multi-material construction, as in a single piece of steel-forged head is transitioned in the 8-PW/AW to a steel-forged hollow body in the 3-7 irons. Moreover, the SUS630 high speed face is injected with a special compound, TaylorMade’s proprietary SpeedFoam respectively, in the 3-7 irons. Needless to say, performance is optimized throughout the set. Other features worth mentioning in the new P760 irons include the progressive inspired Tour shape, which comes with a redesigned sole geometry, in order to improve turf interaction. Also, the patented SpeedFoam technology available in the long irons works wonders in terms of vibration dampening and improving ball speed, thus delivering more distance than ever before. On top of that, the SpeedFoam technology optimizes both sound and feel, as it’s injected in liquid form into the club’s head, and then it expands within the club, thus maintaining the solid-soft sound and feel that better golfers love, together with increased face support. The P760 irons come standard with Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grips and True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 steel shafts, being available at retailers world-wide starting with November 2nd. Here’s the VP of Product Creation at TaylorMade Golf, Brian Bazzel respectively, describing his company’s latest product:

“With P760, we set out to design a players iron for Tour-level competition, combining all the elements that are most desirable to the better golfer. The P760’s progressive set shaping enables short irons to be compact and precise while the long irons take on a hollow construction, injected with our revolutionary SpeedFoam. P760 is designed to inspire confidence whether you’re attacking pins from short range or sticking greens from long range.”
