Sucher played college golf at the University of Alabama before turning pro in 2009. He played on a number of mini tours for a few years, pre dominantly on the Hooters Tour. He had partial status on the Web.com Tour in 2011 but didn’t have any good performances. In 2013, he played in five Web.com Tour events and managed to finish second at the South Georgia Classic. His decent finishes in the few events he played in 2013, gave him fully playing rights for the Web.com Tour in 2014.
Playing his first full season on the Web.com Tour, Sucher managed to pick up his PGA Tour card after finishing 3rd on the money list. He captured his first Web.com win at the Midwest Classic. His win was in the middle of a hot streak and was sandwiched in between a tied 4th place finish at the Albertsons Boise Open and a joint runner up position at the Stonebrae Classic.
The Southern native has wrestled an alligator before so he feels that he is well up to the challenge of competing with the big boys on the main Tour. Unfortunately it has been a steep learning curve for Sucher thus far on the PGA Tour. In his first eleven events he has only made the cut twice. He has also played three Web.com Tour events this season and has missed the cut in all of them. His best result to date was a tie for 53rd at the recent FedEx St. Jude Classic.
