Born in Nakhon Prathorn, Thailand, in 1966, Thaworn Wiratchant spends the majority of his time plating on the Asian Tour. Since turning professional in 1987 he has twice finished at the top of the money list on this tour, in 2005 and 2012. Wiratchant became only the second Thailand born player to win on the European Tour when he achieved victory at the Enjoy Jakarta Standard Chartered Indonesia Open in 2005; an event which was co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the European Tour.

As of the end of 2014, Wiratchant had yet to achieve a win on the PGA Tour, but had amassed total prize money of $45,546.
