Sangmoon Bae is a South Korean golf-pro who currently plays on the PGA Tour, together with the Japan Golf Tour and the Asian Tour. Born and raised in South Korea, Sangmoon Bae turned pro right after graduating from university and 2 years later in 2006 he won the 2006 Emerson Pacific Group Open as he was playing on the Korean Tour.
In 2007 he won the SK Telecom Open, in 2008 the Kolon-Hana Bank Korea Open and in 2009 the GS Caltex Maekyung Open. After joining the PGA Tour in 2012, Sangmoon Bae scored two victories in the greatest tour in the world: the HP Byron Nelson Championship in 2013 and the Frys.com Open in 2015. After being forced to serve in the South Korean army on a 2 year commitment, Sangmoon Bae returned to the PGA Tour in 2017. Besides golf, he likes soccer, basketball and skiing and he is the 4th Korean national to ever win on the PGA Tour.
