In 2003, he attended PGA Tour Q School and received his first ever main Tour card for the 2004 season after finishing the week in a tie for 13th.
He played 31 events in his rookie season, making the cut in 20 of them. He had eight top 25 finishes including three top 10s. His best result came at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic, his final event of the season, where he finished in 4th place. He would end his rookie year 72nd on the money list. Snyder only managed to play in six events at the start of the 2006 season. After missing the cut in the first five events, Snyder suffered injuries to both his shoulder and neck. He would not play another PGA Tour event until 2012. He has had partial status on the main Tour since returning in 2012. Since 2014, he has no remaining medical exemption on tour and only played a single event in 2014.
