Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan in 1969, Fujita turned professional in 1992. Since turning professional, Fujita has won 18 tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour. He had a good year in 2010 when he finished in 48thplace in the golf World Rankings. 2012 was also a good year for Fujita, when he won four events on the Japan Golf Tour and won the Order of Merit. 

As of the end of 2014, Fujita is yet to achieve a win on the PGA Tour, but has amassed total prize money of $277,100.
