William Chesney Reavie, known as Chez, was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1981. He went on to play golf while at college at Arizona State University.
After turning professional in 2004, Reavie became a rookie on the PGA Tour in 2008, having gained his card by finishing in 18th place on the Nationwide Tour money list the previous season.
Reavie achieved his first win on the PGA Tour at the RBC Canadian Open in 2008. As a result he earned $900,000 as well a two-year exemption. In 2010, Reavie’s season was curtailed due to an injury, which meant that he had a medical exemption at the start of 2013. His earnings weren’t enough to enable him to retain full Tour privileges but he did make the cut at the Memorial Tournament which meant that he earned conditional status for the remainder of the season. By the end of the season Reavie had won prize money of more than $1,000,000 which earned him a Tour card for 2012.
2012 was not a good year for Reavie, and he had to attend qualifying school to secure his PGA Tour card for 2013. Having secured his card, Reavie didn’t actually play all season, due to a wrist injury. As a result Reavie started the 2014/15 season with a medical exemption of 24 starts.
As of the end of 2014, Reavie had achieved one win of the PGA Tour, amassing total prize money of $5,511,078.
