    Minnesota born Beckman was a student at first Burnsville Senior High School and then Texas Lutheran University, where he was an art major, as well as playing on the

    Beckman’s first win on the PGA Tour came in 2001, at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. It was another seven years before he won again, at the 2008 Frys.com Open at the Greyhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. This win meant that Beckman secured his PGA Tour card for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. 2010 saw Beckman achieve his third PGA Tour win, at the 2010 Mayakoba Golf Classic.
