Bryson DeChambeau is an American professional golf player and he’s currently playing on the PGA Tour. Back in 2015, Bryson James Aldrich DeChambeau managed to win both the U.S. Amateur and the NCAA Division I championship in the same year, becoming the 5th golfer in history to brag with such an achievement. Bryson DeChambeau won the California State Junior Championship in 2010 when he was 16 years old, while attending the Clovis East High School. After graduating in 2012, he was offered a scholarship to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he majored in physics.
In June of 2015, Bryson DeChambeau became the 1st SMU Mustang to win the NCAA individual championship. Just a couple of months later, he won the U.S. Amateur title, thus joining Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Ryan Moore and Phil Mickelson, i.e. he was the fifth golfer in history to won both US Amateur titles and the NCAA in the same year. DeChambeau’s debut in the PGA Tour as an amateur took place in June, 2015, while the first important championship he attended was at the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay. One year later, in 2016, Bryson DeChambeau turned pro right after the Masters in mid-April 2016, and signed a long term deal with Cobra-Puma golf. His debut as a pro golfer took place at the RBC Heritage in South Carolina, and his first win as a professional was the DAP Championship. Bryson DeChambeau’s first PGA Tour victory took place on July 16 2017, when he won the John Deere Classic. Besides golf, Bryson DeChambeau loves his family, cars, faith, fishing and, of course, physics.
