Prior to turning professional in 1983, Glasson studied at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he put his golfing talents to use and was twice All-American.

Glasson’s first success as a professional came at the Kemper Open in 1985. He was again successful at this event of 1992. Glasson’s career has been one of some consistency; he has finished sixty times in the Top 10 of PGA Tour events. He finished joint fourth at the US Open in 1995; his highest finish at a Major.

Although Glasson has previously featured in the World Top 50, he has struggled to maintain his PGA Tour privileges since he got older. A lot of his problems have been due to issues with his health. There are few parts of Glasson’s body that have not been operated on; he has undergone surgery on his elbow, lip, forearm, knee, sinus and the lower part of his back. This list is not exhaustive. Having all of these problems has meant that Glasson has spent some time playing on the second tier Nationwide Tour over the years. Since he turned 50, in 2010, Glasson has been playing on the Champions Tour.

When he isn’t playing golf Glasson enjoys relaxing by hunting and fishing. He is also a farmer at his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

As of the end of 2014 Glasson had achieved seven PGA Tour wins, amassing prize money of $6,912,619.
