Austin Cook is a native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and he was born in Little Rock. During his attendance at the University of Arkansas, Cook finished 10th individually at the 2011 NCAA Championship and earned all-America honors in his sophomore year. The one thing that earned Austin Cook all-central region accolades was the fact that he was the runner up at NCAA Fayetteville Regional in 2013. One year later, in 2014, Cook turned pro and managed to finish T-130 in Web.com Tour Q-school.
In the summer of the same year, he finished tied for 13th place, at 5-under-par at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Austin Cook joined the Web.com Tour in 2016 and the PGA Tour in 2018, winning the 2018 The RSM Classic.
