A measurement of a golf course’s difficulty for players who are not scratch golfers. A course may have a Slope Rating between 55 (easiest) and 155 (most difficult), with a course of average difficulty rated at 113. Slope Rating is used in conjunction with Course Rating to determine a player’s handicap.
