If you’re not familiar with the brand, you should learn that Ecco is an EU based company from Denmark and they’re famous for their high quality leather products, shoes respectively, which are an interesting mélange of style and comfort. With this in mind, we will now take a closer look at the company’s latest BIOM® COOL PRO golf shoes, which are built using state of the art technology and superior craftsmanship to deliver the ultimate performance without compromising comfort or style on the golf course. We know, it sounds awesome already, so here’s the breakup: the new BIOM® COOL PRO golf shoes are built using GORE-TEX®SURROUND®Technology which offers amazing waterproof breathability (we know, it sounds almost impossible, but these guys did it!) and natural motion. What does it mean in real life, you asked? Well, the new Ecco shoe can be best described as a hybrid which is designed and built to deliver unique performance due to the proven benefits of f BIOM®and GORE-TEX®SURROUND®technology platforms; even if it may sound pompous and excessively high tech gibberish for our readers, the truth is that Ecco really created a golf shoe that facilitates 360° breathable comfort, each day, every day, round after round, independent of the weather conditions, and that’s amazing to say the least.

To deliver this baby into the golf-world, ECCO and GORE-TEX joined forces and worked together to develop a revolutionary technology, and yes, we’re talking about the aforementioned GORE-TEX SURROUND thing, which is the brain-child of the two companies’ partnership. Add into the mix Ecco Golf’s sophisticated and refined T.PU EXHAUST GRID, another patented technology incorporated into the midsole, which is aimed at allowing fresh air to circulate and access the sole of your foot, and you have a winner; obviously, at the same time, this technology allows moisture and heat to escape, i.e. this translates into real-life 360° breathability along with one hundred percent waterproof protection. As the General Manager, ECCO GOLF USA Jesper Thuen put it succinctly, but let’s quote the man himself:

Let’s just hope that the shoe’s microclimate technology doesn’t develop climate change or something horrible like that. Jokes aside, the shoe is built using the company’s proprietary BIOM®NATURAL MOTION®last, which provides a perfect (as in anatomic) fit, thus supporting your foot’s natural form; moreover, the BIOM COOL PRO features a special sole structure which is as low to the ground as possible, for delivering amazing ground feedback and responsiveness. Other technologies incorporated into these state of the art shoes include ECCO FLUIDFORM™?Direct Comfort Technology, which is aimed at providing a durable and flexible bond sans glued/stitched assemblies, by using specially developed fluid materials which make for an interesting combo of rebound and cushioning, A BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® last technology, developed based on scans of thousands of athletes’ feet, and which mirrors perfectly the natural contour of the human foot thus allowing it to move in a natural fashion (as in closer to the turf), and finally, last but not least, the futuristic TRI-FI-GRIP™ outsole, which consists of 3 segments for delivering multipurpose zonal performance: one for durability, another for stability, while the 3rd takes care of rotational support. To make it as durable as possible without sacrificing performance in the process, Ecco used TPU for the outsole, while the shoe’s upper is made from premium ECCO RICH TWO-TONE YAK leather produced in ECCO’s own tanneries. This high quality leather is durable, incredibly thin yet extra strong, and on top of that, it’s perforated on the forefoot for added breathability.

Finally, in order to deliver amazing step in comfort and exceptional ease when putting/taking off the shoes, Ecco crafted a double layer neoprene tongue which cushions the foot perfectly.
