Lamkin Reveals Latest Additions to Its Sonar Grip Line

We all know and love Lamkin grips, as the company is universally acclaimed as an innovative leader in the field, and the good news for our readers is that 2 new models of the hugely popular Sonar Grip Line have been introduced recently. The two new grips are dubbed the Sonar Tour and Sonar Wrap, and both of them will make for distinctive options to the high-performance Sonar grip family, which is well known for its excellent all weather performance combined with Sonar’s unmistakable and unique feel, a line that was launched very recently, back in 2018, yet it already achieved legendary status among golf aficionados.

Both the Sonar Wrap and the Tour benefit from Sonar’s latest and greatest manufacturing technologies, including the Genesis material incorporated into their built, along with the patented Fingerprint technology. The innovative Fingerprint technology consists of distributing densely spaced/intricate patterns throughout the surface of the grip, in the shape and form of micro textures, which deliver an amazingly comfortable and smooth surface feel for your hands, not to mention excellent grip traction, which enhances comfort, all weather control and confidence. All these features are quintessential in a high quality grip, and that’s what Lamkin’s Sonar grip line is famous for, and for good reason. The aforementioned Genesis material is currently pending patent, and it’s aimed at providing stellar grip comfort by mixing a very soft feel, softer compared to traditional rubber actually, with incredible durability and resistance to wear and tear, which is better than other grip materials used by Lamkin’s competitors.

It’s important to mention that the Sonar Tour grip is designed and built by the company’s R&D team working together with Lamkin’s Tour ambassador Justin Rose. The Tour Grip comes with smartly designed omnidirectional grip traction patterns, which are provided by Lamkin’s Fingerprint technology, along with a firmer durometer Lamkin GENESIS material, which is designed to increase torsion control, a feature aimed at higher swing speed golfers. The grip also benefits from an innovative finishing process, which maintains Sonar Tour’s super rough surface feel, making sure the grip’s Tour inspired design still holds the line’s high quality, as well as its legendary comfort. Finally, the Sonar Tour features a traditional taper shape, for a conventional feel, and, presumably at the request of world’s best golfers, the grip boasts a logo-down design.

The Lamkin Sonar Wrap shares the super rough surface feel of the Tour, together with the latter’s amazing all weather performance, but it comes in a new wrap-style model. Obviously, the Wrap also benefits from Lamkin’s patent pending Genesis material, as well as the proprietary Fingerprint technology, making for a state of the art grip which delivers unprecedented levels of comfort and traction. In order to improve the simulated wrap feel, the Sonar Wrap arrives with an ergonomically designed ‘Progressive Skive’, featuring fluctuating spiral dimensions, depending on grip size, and it’s available in Mid Size+ as well as Standard+ variations. Here’s Lamkin CEO and President Bob Lamkin on the company’s latest line extension:

“The combination of GENESIS material and FINGERPRINT Technology in the SONAR grip delivers an ideal feel for such a wide audience of players. The two additions to the line add variations for golfers who have specific preferences in their grip style. I’m very excited about the success of the SONAR line and look forward to sharing the incredible feel of the new grips with golfers worldwide.”
