The Biom Cool Pro golf shoes were revealed recently by Ecco, and they’ll make a lot of people happy, as the company built them using 2 innovative technologies which work together to deliver impressive performance. Ecco Golf is a Danish company (that would be Europe) specialized in crafting performance footwear, and their latest Biom Cool Pro are proof of concept, as they will provide you with new levels of performance.

To begin with, the Biom Cool Pro are designed as performance-hybrid golf shoes and they’re also waterproof. To make things really interesting, Ecco used both their proprietary Biom material as well as Gore-Tex Surround technology. The end result is 360 degrees all day long breathable comfort, and that’s nothing short of amazing. The new shoe uses ECCO's Biom Natural Motion, a clever technology which offers an anatomical fit for exceptional comfort and performance, as it literally supports the natural motion/form of your foot round after round. Also, the sole structure is as low to the ground as possible, in order to improve both feedback and responsiveness.

The outsole of the Biom Cool Pro is crafted using ECCO's patented TRI-FI-GRIP™ technology, which provides what the company describes as all-purpose zone performance via 3 segments: stability, durability and rotational support (there’s one for each basically). In order to withstand wear and tear, the Biom Cool Pro uses touch TPU, which also increases overall performance. In order to create the ultimate golf shoe, Ecco joined forces with Gore-Tex and that’s how the GORE-TEX® SURROUND® happened. Paired with Ecco’s proprietary T.PU EXHAUST GRID which is used into the shoe’s midsole, the end result is an amazing golf shoe that delivers one hundred percent waterproofing as well as out-of-this-world breathability. How did they do it? Well, it’s pretty simple: the T.PU EXHAUST GRID thing allows air to flow freely (okay, that’s an exaggeration) through the sole, while, at the same time, moisture and heat is allowed to escape. That’s pretty ingenious, but you’ll have to pay top-dollar for these babies, as cutting edge technology and premium materials don’t come cheap.

Here are the Biom Cool Pro’s main features: first, we have ECCO FLUIDFORM™ Direct Comfort Technology, which ensures the ideal balance between rebound and cushioning via using specialized fluid materials, or something to that effect. The result is a perfectly balanced, durable and flexible golf shoe which is built without using stitching or gluing. Next, there’s the A BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® last, developed after scanning the last of over one thousand athletes' feet. The last basically mimics the natural contours of a human foot, thus enabling the shoe to move closer to the ground and more naturally, which means the Biom Cool Pro will feel like a second skin on your foot. If not keep reading: the ECCO TRI-FI-GRIP™ outsole delivers ultimate breathability, while the upper sole is built using ECCO RICH TWO-TONE YAK leather, which incidentally is crafted in the company’s own tanneries. This particular type of leather is incredibly strong and durable, and it’s perforated on the forefoot, offering both a sporty surface and a natural touch. The waterproofing is made possible by GORE-TEX® SURROUND® technology, and, last but not least, we have the ECCO CALF CRUST leather, a fine grain variety used in the tongue of the shoe, which looks and feels premium.
