The recently introduced e6 Lady golf ball is specially designed for women golfers, and it brings long distance and soft feel at an affordable price, i.e. you’ll only have to pay $21.99 per dozen. The e6 Lady is available in 2 colorways, white and optic pink, and it’s aimed at slow-moderate swing speeds.
To achieve a soft feel and improved distance, the e6 Lady is built using a 2-piece construction design and has a low compression core. Just to put things into perspective, the e6 Lady is a tad softer than the regular e6 golf ball, and that becomes obvious if you take a look at the specs: the standard e6 has a 44 compression, while the Lady version has a 44 compression.

Anyway, the e6 Lady is among the softest golf balls Brigestone has ever produced, and that may seem strange for some of our readers, that until you understand the target golfer. The concept behind crafting soft golf balls is that slow swings get soft things, and here’s Bridgestone’s Golf Ball Marketing Manager Elliot Mellow:
“Distance can come from a lot of places, not just the velocity of the ball comes from launch condition optimization, spin management, etc. It’s for a golfer who’s not catching it as flush. He’s not swinging quite as fast; he’s struggling with accuracy and struggling with high spin rates. It’s those kinds of extreme launch conditions where e6 can be most helpful. I think this player knows who he or she is. This isn’t as defined as the over/under 105 MPH we have with the high performing e12 or Tour B series. This is more for the recreational player – maybe they know their swing speed, maybe they don’t, but in general know where they stand.”
Basically, if you’re a slow-swing golfer, you take distance where you can find it, and in this particular case, speed comes from lower spin. The e6 Lady is aimed at helping female golfers go get the ball up in the air with ease, and it also provides more distance on those difficult shots, i.e. where this feature is needed the most.
