Musgrove Mill Golf Club Course Review

The Musgrove Mill Golf Club is one of the best facilities in South Carolina and it sits on a beautiful piece of real estate, about ninety miles away from both Asheville and Charlotte. The golf courses design wears the signature of architect Arnold Palmer, being one of his best works and it makes for a private golf sanctuary which is ranked high consistently by prestigious golf magazines, such as Golfweeks 100 Best Modern Courses in the USA and its ranked 2nd as the best golf course in Upstate South Carolina. The area in which the Musgrove Mill is located is imbibed with history and tradition, as it served as a battle ground in the Revolutionary War. Being located in the Piedmont region in South Carolina, between Greenville and Columbia, the Musgrove Mill is the definition of a hidden gem, very appreciated by golf aficionados, due to the clubs distance from heavily populated urban areas. Another interesting factoid regarding the golf course is that while playing its 11th hole, youll be able to see the state park which sits just across the road, commemorating the Battle of Musgrove Mill in the Revolutionary War.

The golf course itself is very interesting, well known for its history, beauty, changing elevations and the outstanding landscape, making a trip to the Musgrove Mill an experience to remember many years after. The facility is everything about golf in its purest form, being focused almost exclusively on the integrity of the game and it was built carefully in order to preserve the natural habitat and the wilderness of Upstate South Carolina. The golf course can be best described as Palmer designed, nature inspired, featuring 6940 yards from its longest tees for a 72 par, with each hole providing a totally different experience. Playing here youll be amazed by the terrains varying elevation and the stunningly beautiful landscape. Regular members talk often about the Musgrove Mills challenging golf course, but in the same proposition they talk about its unique layout and setting.
