Forest Dunes Golf Club Courses Review

The Forest Dunes Golf Club sits on an a beautiful piece of real estate in the Huron National Forest and its well known for its exciting and peaceful golf experience it offers to its visitors. The golf course was designed in a parkland classic fashion with a touch of modernity on top by architect Tom Weiskopf back in mid-2002 and it stretches on a heavily wooded area on 500 acres of pristine land. The architect created a golf course that provides an interesting mlange of intriguing challenges on every hole, together with a classic style design. The Forest Dunes Golf Clubs scruffy sand areas, its rugged native dunes, the hardwoods, the wide open meadows and the century old pines, together with the water features and the elaborate bunkering job will thrill you round after round, making for a once in a lifetime experience.

Usually, youd expect heavy tree lines while playing on a parkland course and grass-dunes when playing on a links golf course. Well, the Forest Dunes Golf Club makes for a combination of these two, being the best of both worlds and a true Weiskopf made beauty located in Northern Michigan. But wait, theres more, here comes the Loop! The Forest Dunes Golf Clubs Loop was designed by the famous architect Tom Doak and its composed from two distinct layouts which are both using the same 18 greens, but with a twist: the Black routing plays clockwise in one day, while the other (the Red route) plays counter-clockwise in the next. The idea is not new actually; however, the Forest Dunes Golf Clubs Loop is a must-play even if its very recent, i.e. the Loop thing was opened to public on June 27 2016. Bottom line, if you want to play your favorite game on an awesome golf course with a great staff, the Forest Dunes Golf Club is very easy to recommend!
