Forest Highlands Golf Club Courses Review

The Forest Highlands Golf Club can be described as a mountain community, i.e. more than a golf club, more than a getaway from your daily life and more than a mountain retreat. This is the ideal place to spend your free time with your family and friends while playing a great game of golf, as it was meant to be, whilst enjoying the serenity and the epic beauty of the place. The golf course was designed by architects Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and its located 100 miles north of Phoenix, in Flagstaff Arizona. The Forest Highlands Golf Club was first opened for play in 1988 and its currently one of the best (like the premier) golf courses in the state. The routing is outstanding, as it crosses through impeccable bluegrass fairways and forests, featuring dramatic changes of elevation, canyons and streams, as all the natural beauty of the terrain was seamlessly incorporated into the course.

If you get tired, there are some great vistas around the gofl course where you can replenish your bodily fluids while admiring the epic scenery. The course features amazing holes, with the 9th being the most spectacular and also the signature hole of the Forest Highlands Golf Club. Another great hole is the 17th, nicknamed the Aspen and truth be told, while playing here youll enjoy the most the absolutely terrific views, together with the challenging play the course offers to players, regardless of their skill level. According to Tom Weiskopf, one of the two designers of the Forest Highlands, it would be hard to find a better natural setting for building a golf course. Just play here once and youll see the truth in that statement, also youll definitely come back again for more in the years to come. Beware before playing here: the Forest Highlands Golf Club is built at an altitude of approximately 7000 feet on mountainous terrain and it has a remarkable routing, being extremely challenging; however, the beauty of the landscape really makes up for its difficulty.
