If it’s golf footwear and it’s branded Skechers, it’s good news for golf aficionados, and today’s story is about the Go Golf 2019, which makes for the company’s latest golf shoe collection, aimed to please both men and women golfers from all around the world. Skechers are known for their comfortable footwear and the quality of their workmanship, and the new Go Golf shoe line-up boasts no less than thirteen designs, each of them packed to the brim with the latest and greatest technological achievements the company has under her belt.
The philosophy behind the Go Golf family is to improve one’s overall golf-experience, that’s pretty obvious, but in the same time, to make people look good on the turf, i.e. these golf-shoes are not only built for high performance, but also for pleasing fashion conscious golfers, regardless of gender. And that’s pretty hard, to say the least, but it looks like Skechers managed to pull it through. It goes without saying that the new Go Golf shoes from Skechers are engineered specifically for meeting (and exceeding) specific needs of golfers, and they’re designed to mix instant comfort, a feature for which Skechers is famous, with high performance. And, as we already told you, Skechers really hit the nail on its head with their new range, as Matt Kuchar was spotted wearing a pair of these bad boys, as he played (and won by the way) the Sony Open. In case you were wondering, Matt wore a cool pair of Go Golf Pro 4, a spiked-model respectively, so keep that in mind before you go shopping for golf gear.
Arguably, the main selling point in the new Go Golf line of footwear is the Gripflex spikeless TPU outsole, which is one of the most advanced and efficient in the world at the time we’re writing this article. For example, you’ll find this high-tech outsole in the Mojo models, and in case you don’t know what’s up with the Gripflex, to put it in layman’s terms, what we’re dealing with here is basically a mélange of multi directional cleats and traction elements, also known as lugs, located at the base of the shoe. Their purpose is obvious: to deliver phenomenal levels of traction on any type of turf, along with out of this world stability and comfort, because, after all, that’s why we pay top-dollar for a high performance pair of golf shoes, isn’t it folks?
Some say the Gripflex spikeless TPU outsole is so good, it can be worn by NASA astronauts on Mars or the Moon, but joke aside, Skechers claims their new outsole design and choice of materials makes for a golf shoe that leaves virtually no impressions on the greens, and that’s something to write home about. Now, let’s take a deeper look into Skechers Go Golf men shoe range, which consists of 9 different styles, of which 5 are completely new designs. To begin with, there are no less than 3 Elite models, and on top of that, we have the famous Fairway Lead, which makes a spectacular return in 2019, thus offering Skechers fans a wide range of options, to suit almost every need.
So, let’s begin with the Skechers Go Golf Pro 4 and Pro 4 Honors Golf Shoes, which is the golf-shoe of choice for Matt Kuchar, the PGA Tour super-hero we’ve already told you about in the preamble. The Go Golf Pro 4 features a high end full grain leather upper, together with a low profile sole; but wait, there’s more: in order to make sure your feet don’t suffer during intense golf sessions, these bad boys arrive with Resamax cushioned insoles and Ultra Flight cushioning. In terms of traction and grip, the Go Golf Pro 4 range really has it where it counts, as these shoes boast a lot of Softspikes cleats, along with a heel lock feature, which keeps your foot firmly into place during your swing, i.e. there’s going to be zero foot-sliding around. Also, these high performance golf shoes can be worn anytime anywhere, being suitable for basically any weather scenario, due to Skechers’ excellent implementation of H2GO Shield technology, which makes these bad boys pretty much waterproof. The Go Golf Pro 4 Honors is a special version of the vanilla Golf Pro 4, and they’re available in two color ways: charcoal grey and black, boasting the exact same technological featires as the latter, sans the full grain leather upper. Instead, the Honors version boasts a knitted textile upper. Both models are available in in standard and wide fits, and in sizes 7.5-14.
Next in line, we have the brand spanking new Skechers Go Golf Mojo Elite and Mojo Punch Shot Golf Shoes, which make for the latest-gen Mojo series, boasting 2 spikeless versions and Skechers’ state of the art Gripflex sole technology. Basically, the Go Golf Mojo Elite and the Mojo Punch are the best of both worlds, being high-performance cool-looking golf shoes that can be worn both on and off the golf course. The Mojo elite features an interesting combination of textile and full grain leather upper, including a central saddle to quote Skechers themselves, which improves mid foot support, while adding stability into the mix. The Mojo Elite are available in white/grey, grey/graphite and black color ways.
The improbably named Mojo Punch Shot golf shoe is designed with a full grain leather upper, for a classic look and feel, and it’s available in a multitude of color schemes, including white with blue trim, black and in grey/light grey, in both wide/standard fits and in sizes 7.5-13, 14.
If you’re running out of Mojo, you can always go for the new Skechers Go Golf Drive 4 and Drive 4 LX Golf Shoes; the Drive 4 is a trainer style golf-shoe, a more relax/chill-out model so to speak, which is designed to please golfers looking for a youthful and more casual design, which can be worn both on and off the golf course. However, Skechers did their best with the Go Golf Drive 4, i.e. these babies offer supreme levels of performance and comfort in a laid back design. Just to give you a taste, the shoe comes with high rebound Goga Max technology insoles and Ultra Flight cushioning, along with a tough rubber traction plate, which delivers outstanding grip. The Drive 4 LX boasts a premium looking and feeling full grain leather upper, which features 2GO waterproof protection, i.e. you can wear them anytime, anywhere. Both models are available in sizes 8 to 11.
Now it’s time to make women golfers happy, as we introduce Skechers Go Golf 2019 Womens Shoe Range, which, as the name suggests, is specifically engineered to please women (provided that’s somehow possible in this universe, just kidding). There are no less than 10 models to choose from, and some of them have already seen combat, as they were worn by LPGA Tour’s best players. There are 8 all new designs in the Skechers Go Golf 2019 Womens Shoe Range, all of them packed to the brim with the latest and greatest technologies available in the company’s portfolio. To begin with, we have the Skechers Go Golf Max Womens Golf Shoes, which can be described as the most combat-proven of the bunch. This specific model is the weapon of choice for Brooke Henderson, 7 time LPGA Tour winner, and the sporty Max line-up consists of 4 different styling options. To put it simply, if you’re looking for stylish lightweight spikeless golf shoes, these ones have your name on it. The upper is made using a synthetic water-proof material, and on top of that, you get the famous Goga Max insoles, Ultra Flight cushioning and TPU outsoles. Needless to say, you can wear the Skechers Go Golf Max Womens Golf Shoes all year round, as they’re very nice and supremely comfy, and don’t worry, you have lots of choices, as the Max range includes Draw, Fade, Cut and Mojo models, in any imaginable number of color ways.
If you’re not a Max lady, you can always opt for Skechers Go Golf Drive Womens Golf Shoes, which are specifically designed for fashion conscious (read picky) golfers. However, no compromise has been made in regard to performance enhancing technologies or comfort. Just to give you a taste, the GO Golf Drive range of golf shoes features premium leather uppers, which comes with H2GO Shield waterproof protection, i.e. you can wear these beautiful shoes anytime, anywhere, regardless of the weather conditions. On top of that, you’ll get the company’s latest insole technologies, along with impeccable cushioning, for supreme comfort all day long.
The Drive golf shoes are available in 3 fancy models: first, there’s the Drive Shine, which is a beautiful golf shoe made with high quality quilted leather uppers, in a striking high shine finish, hence the name. You can order these eye catching shoes in silver, pewter or rose gold color ways. The Drive Sparkle boasts star accents with youthful glitter detailing on the heel, which confers it a flashy yet fun look. Then, there’s the Drive Shimmer, which also comes with a trendy and eye-catching glitter overlay detail on the heel section, which according to the company, adds tons of glamour to those boring day on the course. All of the three models are available in sizes 5.5-10, plus an 11.
Moving along with the story, we have the Skechers Go Golf Eagle Womens Golf Shoes. The current year brings 3 more new models joining the existing Eagle Pro that was launched back in 2018. The new models are built with synthetic uppers, with 5th Gen Cushioning and Goga Max, along with high-quality and flexible outsoles, which deliver outstanding grip and durability on any type of terrain. The Eagle Lag really stands out from the crowd, due to its beautiful floral print on the shoe’s side panels, and the good news is that you can order these beauties in grey, navy and white. The Eagle Honey is yet another brand new model as per 2019, and you can order it in black, white and navy color-schemes, with a color-contrasting collar and tongue area.
The Eagle Relaxed Fit is built to please women golfers with wider feet, as it features a spacious front area to keep your toes happy during prolonged golf sessions. The Relaxed Fit golf shoes can be ordered in white, navy and pink and black and white in half sixes from 5.5-10, plus an 11.
PS: even if Skechers chose some peculiar names for their 2019 line-up, rest assured, as each of these new golf shoes is built to meet and exceed the most demanding standards in the industry, being comfy, sturdy and reliable, while providing a perfect fit for your feet (pun intended).
