Classic style with a new insert for better feel: The Ghost Tour Black Daytona is part of a new range from TaylorMade. This putter has a blade shaped head with a loft of 3°, angle of lie of 70° and a toe hang of 40°. Standard shaft lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches are available in both left and right handed configurations. The shaft is fully off-set with an L-neck from the head to the shaft. A matte black PVD compound covers the blade shaped head for reduced glare and a new insert has been designed for a better feel and sound. The 8020 insert has been replaced by a deep precision milled 6061 aluminium insert that weighs 13 grams. Weight of the head is 355 grams that is slightly heavier than many other putters but gives you a more controlled feel to each putt. A soft sound comes from the new insert with a much better sound than the previous insert. Feedback is also enhanced from the new insert and all heads have a chequered flag image on the toe of the putter as all new putters are named after racing tracks. A standard Golf pride pistol grip comes on all putters in the Ghost Black range but it can be changed to a SuperStroke, Iomic or other TaylorMade grip if you are after some added stability.
A contrasting white line has been added that has perpendicular to the face to aid in alignment of the putt to the pin. The putter has a relatively small sweet spot on the milled face and this white line should help in lining up to create the distinctive sound from the sweet spot. You can be confident that this Ghost Tour Black Daytona putter will perform well for professional and amateur players.
