Pinnacle has long since shucked its image as a maker of rock-hard golf balls. Now the company is going even softer with its new Pinnacle Gold and Bling models, due in stores October 1, 2013.
The existing Gold and Bling versions (click on links for reviews) were already much softer than the Pinnacles of yore. They’re even softer now thanks to lower-compression cores and thinner ionomer covers.
Of course, Pinnacle hasn’t forsaken its roots, promising superior distance with the revamped offerings. Michael Mahoney, Director of Golf Ball Product Management, explained the changes as a reaction to customer demand for “the same outstanding distance with even softer feel.”
