A lot of times you get these you know lifting it up here and you're down below the green level and it's really really difficult so let me give you a couple ways to adjust your set up and your swing so you can handle the high lip. The 1st thing we're going to do is we're going to play the ball more towards our left foot that adds a little bit aloft the clubface helps it go a little bit higher. Second thing we're going to do is we're going to open the blade just a little bit more than normal the reason why is we want to as much loft as humanly possible to get this ball up and over that lip. So we've got the ball forward and we've open the blade.

Now the last thing that we want to do is create some speed coming through here because that speed helps to put back spin on the golf ball and it gets it to launch up in the air this is the hardest thing for us people get a little nervous and they don't want to put a lot of speed into it and it goes thump right there in the lip and it comes back because it doesn't have enough height to clear that lip. So here we go ball in the front part of our stance open the blade just a little bit more and make sure that we create a little bit more speed and when we create a little more speed the ball's going to jump up in the air and it's going to come down a little bit softer but if you come in here and you have the ball back and you have the blade square and you come in here and swing easy obviously it's going to skip right off that front part of that lip like I just did and you're not going to be very happy. So ball forward open the blade create some speed and that will get the ball over that lip every time.
