And say to make sure you have a good impact position using the right hand palm drill is a brilliant way to train yourself to correct impact positions. And it is so simple to use. It does require a little bit of practice. It can seem a little bit odder first, and actually the people around you on the drive range might be too appreciative you scuttling balls everywhere. All it involves is shots with one hand. So making sure that you've got your good grip at address, then just taking your left hand away and using your right hand. As I put this down behind the ball, I'm going to lean it slightly ahead. I'm going to take it back during the backswing. I mean I'm only going to be moving it to about half way. That don’t really need to a bit any further than that.

And as that comes through ball, I want to be feeling like my right palm is pressing downwards through the point of impact. It is important that it’s pressing downwards like this and it’s not moving upwards in the opposite direction. If you feel like it’s pressing downwards it’s going to have the shaft angle slightly ahead of the ball. It’s going to be contacting the ball first and then the turf. As I said it’s not very easy one to get used to this one. Getting in that setup position, that palm ahead, pressing down, that shaft leaning forwards, only a little swing back and then just try and press it down as you move through the ball as well. If you can get in that position you can press it down as you move through the ball, it’s going to give you that much better sensation of what you want to be like at the point of impact.
