Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about the on plane checkpoint. You know everybody hears about being on a plane off a plane but a lot of people don't understand what that means I'm going to give you a couple of different checkpoints so you can figure it out for yourself. When I set up the golf ball the end of the club closest to the ground should be pointed just inside the golf or where the club comes on the ground or the club head should be parallel to it so for all to purposes will use our target.

So your on plane, if the end of the club closest to the ground is pointing at that target line or the club shaft, is parallel to it. So let's look at it on plane check point here is number one number 2 number 3 number 4 number 5 number 6 number 7 on number 8 number 9 number 10, the 1st nine are pretty important the tenth one is kind of optional but those on plane checkpoints will help you to understand what you're trying to do. So remember parallel to your balls target line or the in the club closest to the ground pointing at that target on that will help you to be on plane or off plane use your mirror and I promise you'll make it a lot easier.
