Pete Dye Golf Club Course Review
The Pete Dye Golf Club is located not far from Bridgeport , West Virginia, and its a private resort available just for its members and their guests. The golf course is unbelievable, as it was carved out of an old/disaffected strip mine and its visually intimidating at first, but it offers a magnificent golfing experience, being an absolute treat. As its name suggests, the Pete Dye Golf Clubs course was designed by one of the best architects of our times, Pete Dye, a true legend of golf design and he used masterfully his incredible alchemy to build an engaging and stunningly beautiful golf course, one which ranks high among his best works, on the location of a former coal mine in West Virginias mountains.
The golf course is an 18 hole regulation, featuring 7248 yards of golf from its longest tees for a 72 par, a course rating of 76.9 and a slope rating of 147. The terrain upon which the Pete Dye Golf Club was built offers a challenging golfing experience for players at every skill level, together with terrific views, impeccable conditioning, well groomed greens and fairways and a highly trained and friendly staff, that will help you anytime with tips and tricks for achieving your best round. Playing the Pete Dye Golf Club will be a fantastic experience on a world class golf course, with every hole being memorable and unique in its own way. The layout/design of the course is modern and it fits the landscape beautifully, presenting you with lots of challenges as the land is very undulated. Also, theres a great variety of boxes, incredible elevation changes, a nice combo of long and short holes, plus an incredible site which provides you with stunning views, water hazards (lakes) and the whole nine yards.
