Portland Golf Club Course Review

The Portland Golf Club dates way back, as it was first established in 1914 and its widely regarded as one of the most enjoyable, challenging and prestigious member owned facilities in the Pacific Northwest, boasting its championship golf resort. The first 9 holes of the Portland Golf Club were built upon a previous farmland and the course was expanded to its current 18 hole design in 1918. Today, the routing is basically the same as the original golf course, with the exception of one of the greens. Playing the Portland Golf Club makes for both a physical and psychological challenge due to the gigantic trees which are lining the fairways, along with the smart hole designs which are using the hilly terrain, demanding strategy and placement from the player.
