The Kukuiula Golf Course was described by quite a few reputable golf magazine as the best private course in the US to open in 2011 and thats a bold claim. However, looking at Kukuiula Golf Courses upscale piece of real estate upon which it was built, i.e. a former sugar cane/coffee plantation, with a layout nicely sandwiched between the ocean and the mountains, making for an awesome visual feast I must agree: the Kukuiula Golf Course is absolutely astounding folks. The golf course itself was designed by architect Tom Weiskopf and its regarded as one of his best works, benefiting enormously from the beautiful ocean views on the island. The golf course spreads over orchards and gardens while the phenomenal routing tumbles across the islands undulating and lush landscape. The terrain is elevated and it offers the players terrific ocean views round after round, with the 13th and 14th holes being the most spectacular , as they play toward the Kukuiula Golf Courses biggest water hazard. The bunkering job is nothing short of artistic and it features brilliant white sand which makes for an epic visual experience while the greens are some of the best Ive ever played.

Clearly, the Kukuiula Golf Course is one of the best in Hawaii as it features one of the most impressive layouts these islands have ever experienced. Playing here youll enjoy the golf courses exhilarating holes, the artistic bunkers and a prime conditioning, making for an unforgettable golfing experience together with some of the finest ocean views in all Hawaii. Keep in mind that the Kukuiula Golf Course is a private golf club, available just for members and their guests, with a driving range/motorized carts available. Due to the course being as private as they get and the minimal number of homes in the community, the Kukuiula Golf Course is not crowded at all and it will definitely appeal to players of all skill levels/all ages. The course spreads over 216 acres for a 72 par and it features sand planted fairways, paspalum turf and a beautiful landscape boasting its native flora.
