As for a lot of things in the golf swing we need to make sure that the set up is the building foundation for what is about to happen on top of those foundations. Really the set up is going to be the bases of a good golf downswing. So it's readdress the golf ball to start with we want to make sure that we've got the foundation blocks in place to enable us to then pull the club down to the ball in the right place there's no point trying to pull down into a good downswing position to tend to realize that your your feet on in the right place you had not in the right place or your balance isn't in the right place and those are the 3 areas really that we need to stop by focusing on. In the address position we're nice and strong and wide with our platform I like to see that the feet a wider so the instep of the feet a wider than the outside of the shoulders effectively would build a pyramid.

So we've got a wider base than a narrower top if we do this and have a narrower stance on a wide shoulders then we're going to be falling over an off balance to regulate so nice and wide through here. Balance is left and right 50/50 toes in heels 50/50 and then during the swing I'll move slightly to my wrist side and then in the downswing that gives me the ability to really drive across my front side generating a lot of power to a nice wide stance good balance and stability in the swing and the last thing really just focusing on. That head position if the head in the back swing gets well out of shape it can't do the right thing in the downswing it's in the wrong place it doesn't matter how my downswing works my head's not helping. So we need to make sure that from that wide stance nice imbalanced the head stays largely still unstable it might be very slightly to the right or to the that the rear foot for the right handed golfer what's going to the right side in the box .Then stay nice and level in the downswing what we definitely don't want to see the head their swing is go into the front like in the back swing up and down too much and a massive change in that head position is really going to cause you issues for your downswing. So let's make sure we've got good foundations good fundamentals so now we can activate a really strong downswing.
