The problem with not having a golf down swing trigger is that a lot of golfers will have something else to fill the void of the down swing movement. Something has to move first at the top of the back swing to start the down swing, and for a lot of golfers is it's the wrong thing. So what we need to do is stop the wrong thing moving but more importantly stop the right thing moving. So if we look at the swing from down the line taking a good address position with a 7 iron hair picking up a target in the distance turning to the top we often get to the top of the position here and golfers will make this motion. So they've come up on this angle and then come down on this angle and the problem there is that the back swing in the down swing on the same path or plane and quite importantly the downswing is over the top it's the wrong position going to lead to a swing that some outside inside slices shank's all sorts of nastiness coming from that ball because I didn't trigger my downswing with the right motion.

So for a lot of golf is the position the top turns into an early rotation of the shoulders throwing the hands in front. Then they're in the wrong position on the way down what we'd like to do instead is replace the shoulders and hands movements and trigger it with the lower body the lower body should be the 1st thing that moving the debt moves in the downswing. So nicely up from the top and then hips across. If we can push that left hip a cross in a sort of bumping action, and here in the triggering and firing of the lower body is going to do a much better job of starting that downswing and is going to be consistent throughout the ball with the wedge but with the driver the same things always going to be happening. First see to 18th green throughout the entire round on practice sessions nice set up to the top trigger it with the lower body. Now straight away as I move my lower body you see my hands and arms drop into a good position if you weren't over the top sort of throw a slice of the club rather than being here in the open body turning we go to the top we move the hips the club drops into a better position behind us. Then we can attack from the inside and when we do not having a correct trigger for the downswing helps us creates a draw instead of a slice and improves our down swing position as well, and that's how important is to trigger your golf down swing with your hips.
