Okay, should I aim straight at the flag? Well the answer is no. You’ve got to basically look on the golf course and assess the situation and the percentages that you are looking for in your game of golf. So you’re on the golf course and you’ve just got to think to yourself right, let’s first of all think about that straight shot. If I’m aiming at the hole and the flag is in front of me and I’ve got water at the back of the green, maybe that’s not the safest shot in the world is to go out on the flag, maybe it’s better off to kind of set ourselves up and play for the biggest part of the green. And this is a big factor I find amateurs doing all the time is gambling and attacking at the flag.

If you kind of think about it, look at percentage golf, if you always go for the middle of the green you’re never far away from wherever the flag is topped and if you go straight at the flag and the flag is topped on the left hand side and you’ve got a big deep bunker in the front and we’ve got a runoff at the back of the – at the green there where they’re running into the lake then it’s not the shot to play. So assess the situation that you’re faced with, look at what you’re facing with and go – well my advice would be very simply always go for the middle of the green. I think all amateur golfers should be going for the middle of the green play the percentage golf shot and from that you’re never going to be far away from the actual hole. So very simply play the percentage golf shot, assess the situation that you’re faced with and I would say always go for the middle of the green. I would very, very rarely if ever say attack the flag. That’s not the golf shot to play.
