Problem of Being to Close to the Ball at Address by Tom Stickney Tom Stickney - A Top 100 Golf Teacher Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher

Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about the distance from the golf ball. The biggest thing I see with amateurs is they tend to crowd the golf ball they tend to get by that you're on top of it that force the club to go up and away they have to wiggle around to get half their arms and hands the club to move let me show you nice way to do that. Set the club down make sure the butt of the club going to your belt line from there you want your arms hanging a shade out from out vertical if you're going to error reach for it just a little bit rather getting too close.

So set the club down by the club down butt of the club at the belt line make sure that you're reaching for just a little bit weights back on the lace of the shoes and I can see that my hands are somewhere in that area. From there now I am poised and ready to make a good balance golf swing. So remember distance from the golf ball is crucial to not get too close to it if you're going to err too far rather than to close set the club down 1st make sure that the butt of the club is going here. From there makes your reach just a touch and your balanced on your laces will guarantee you'll never get to close to the golf ball again.
