Callaway Xfer Sport Golf Shoe Review

The Sport version can be described as the “lower bracket” golf shoe in Callaway’s Footwear Xfer line, but that doesn’t mean they will fail to do the job they were designed for, it’s quite the opposite!

It’s just that they’re among the most affordable ones, having a price tag of $129.99 and they also feature the most traditional looks when compared to the rest of the bunch. Basically, the Xfer Sport are designed as a melting pot between an old school saddle shoe and a contemporary athletic/running shoe, being a modern take from Callaway on an already classic golf shoe design. The end result is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I like them.

Truth be told, the Xfer Sport is a pretty advanced golf shoe technology wise. If you take a look at the sole, you’ll understand what I am talking about. The 7 PINS soft spike design and the additional traction elements on the outsole together with the rubber lugs running at opposing angles will provide you with huge amounts of traction during your swings, regardless the type of weather/turf you’re playing on. The fit and comfort are perfect in good Callaway tradition, thanks to the generous room offered in the toe region. However, the heel is well secured due to the ample padding in the area, embracing the Achilles tendon, while the proprietary Ortholite 3D comfort insole makes these shoes supremely comfy for an all day long golfing spree. These shoes are designed using Callaway’s TPU X Cage overlay for a tight and secure fit and they feature Xfer Dynamic Traction technology for delivering you with optimum grip during your swings. With the 2 year water resistant warranty and 30 day comfort guarantee, you can rest assured that you made the right choice.
