Jonas Blixt is a 30 year old Swedish golfer who plays mainly on the US Tour and whose performances over the last few years has him climb into the world’s top 50 and play in all the biggest events often competing at the very, very top of the leader board. Now one of the reasons why his swing is so good and why gets in those positions is his transition into the down swing and into the ball is so, so good. He often has a little bit of, a little bit of habit and get a little bit close with the clubface at the top of the swing but apart from that the backswing is very technically proficient. From there it’s this movement that really gets him into a great position.

It’s the movement at the weight forwards while at the same time the hips begin to turn and the right hand really drops the club quite close to the body on the way down it’s that transitional period into the downswing where he really gets everything moving and really gets everything synced up. So as the weight transfer forward is the right arm and the right hand down, and then it’s the turn through the ball. And he does this with every single club and the sand wedge all the way through to the driver is a big wide backswing and then that movement forward, the drop of the hands on the inside very close to the right leg as he moves through the shot. Tempo nice and smooth as well and more often the not the strike is very, very good. So an excellent young golfer, an excellent prospect and one to watch out for over the next few years.
