Now up we're both stood here proudly displaying fairway woods now whenever I do a fairway would lessen the tends to be one theme that comes up over and over again and it's always related to strike. Yes the thing with the fairway wood is not many people struggle to keep it straight if they're struggling to keep it straight would probably work on their drive because it will be the same fault with the driver the driver just exacerbates it but you drive will often get a good contact big club head on a big team here we've got a long club not a very big head not much loft and we're asking you to not use to take a fairway wood rather than trying to hit it from the fairway so getting these things to work is all about quality of strike definitely. So give me the lowdown on what the issues might be for some golfers and how you think we can strike this fairway wood better from the floor.

So as you said there it generally is this striking issue and the big one that one thing that will tend to see would be the club top although in the same table as a low ball crisis was actually even if I tried demo I want it. I was obsessive about lie and don't know that takes more skill and 300 yards down the middle taking the pain something colorful less so that was right at the very top of the yeah strength the top of it yeah it's like I say it's a long called it's got a shallow face or expecting to hidden it quiet far away there's not a lot on air in either it's only my 3 woods only I think 3 degrees less than the driver so you know a driver I've got this beautiful tree that I can knock it off part of the face is deeper I've got this aid to get it up in the air I'm still trying to see something that's pretty similar flight wise to my driver but I'm going off the deck with less loftier So the the big issue I think some golfers probably use the switch to what you bought lie yes a 100 francs Yeah you got a fast lock instinctively going to try and dig saw 4 seats out that lie and then you're almost asking the impossible Yes So let's make sure that we're being fair on ourselves and on the club that the line needs to be. And if it's. A 7 or 8 out of 10 you're OK If you're looking now thing after 3 hours that puts it up and I get a 7 I know that I'm back on the way so you need a decent lie then what about ball position I thought to be where the ball to be played for position I like to see is we are setting up the thing is like so we're trying to get it up in the air so a lot of people would put it too far forward sometimes we'd see almost played off the actual outside of the lead for an aid to try and get it open as we do that the club's approaching back on the op of the game we've got that lovely top shot from there so the club comes up too much and yeah that's just games that yeah which would be the top dog leg really the ground before exactly on the run and said Yeah exactly yes a lot of thoughts because again trying to help to get that lean back helped open the bottoms out to Willie as we do that to me I like to see it about half an inch behind the lead a little bit further back than drive and yes a little bit further back the driver.

My main point will be that we're going to try and take a little bit of a divot we're not going to give it a helping golf of all that we're not going to try and get it and I like to think as we do this if we looked at Matt I see the I've created here is I go through if I get my help in it won't we get this big collapse chicken wing. Yeah exactly yeah this is one of the holy OP I'm not getting it I'd like to just make everyone aware if we could go and have some swings where I can see you if you still do for me I'm always trying to get my hands out towards peace now so I can get straight long at the end did arms here reload high although instead of going to help to open the and it's going nowhere so as would help when we're trying to take a little divert and then get this stench in as we're going through so there's a post that want to jam out a minute ago where it was one dimple hit I'm going to think ball in the right spot take the time you did it work on my extension and David going after the goal yeah not not unless it did it just a little bruise and yeah you know go throw and then from there. And it's called Same often with boys playing well today without a few cents already this morning we have Mr Shelton on fast except again the quality of strike the snow off the clubface is itself the fife and that has gone exactly am I said nearly as far as the driver would have done but without the advantage of the teeth like in the big club that that was a really good quality strike now the only way you're going to get these right by practice and this is not something you're just going to stumble onto on the golf course and from the start has been a while so down at the driving range on the practice ground as we are hitting balls trying to assess and on the sound of the ball position the feeling of extension and what not suggests that the feeling of taking a little bit after the golf ball if you can bring all those 3 elements into your fat wayward game hopefully more shots will fly like that one.
