    Pronghorn (Fazio) Golf Course Review

The Pronghorn golf course is Tom Fazios brain child, blending the inherently beautiful nature of the natural terrain the course was built on with the challenges of true championship golf. The Pronghorn course features sculpted greens and rolling fairways, emphasized by old lava rocks, dramatic juniper trees and stunning water hazards. As per its metrics, the Pronghorn features 7462 yards of golf from its longest tees for a 72 par and it will make for an unforgettable golfing experience regardless of your skill level. The Pronghorn course is ranked seventh by the reputable Golf Digest magazine in its 2013-2014 Best in State list (Oregon) and it also was voted fourth Best New Private Course in 2007.

What to expect playing the Pronghorn you may ask? Well, while basically every golfer out there would like to play his favorite game on an impeccably groomed course every time, the unfortunate reality (read financial) is that such perfect conditions all year round are almost impossible to achieve realistically speaking. However, the Pronghorn course can be described as the exception to that rule. The conditioning of the greens is absolutely stunning and youll find sometimes asking yourself if that grass is real. Theres not a single blade of grass neglected at Pronghorn, whilst these fabulous conditions and the excellently designed golf holes are laying on a remote piece of high desert real estate, 640 acres of pristine land outside Bend Oregon, acquired from the BLM. The lava outcroppings were beautifully incorporated by Fazio throughout the design together with the scenic views offered by the Broken Top, Mount Bachelor and the Three Sister volcanos. Theres a lot of eye candy to this Fazio course, together with a challenging yet fair golfing experience.
