Holston Hills Country Club Course Review

The Holston Hills Country Club was built way back in 1927 and the golf course wears the signature of the famous architect Donald Ross, being one of the finest in the state of Tennessee and hosting most of the important regional golf championships. Truth be told, Holston Hills Country Clubs golf course is one of the best works of Donald Ross and its widely considered as one of the purest in terms of design and one of the more untouched (as in keeping its original state). In 2010, the Holston Hills Country Club was ranked number fifty two by the reputable Golfweek Magazines top one hundred classic courses in the United States. Sitting on a beautiful piece of real estate in Knoxville besides the Holston River, the Holston Hills Country Club hosted lots of PGA events, like the Rebel Yell Open in 1968 or the Knoxville Invitational in the 40s.

The course features 7030 yards of golf from its longest tees for a 72 par and, as I already told you, its one of the very few Donald Ross courses which have remained basically unscathed. Hence, if youll ever have the opportunity to play a few rounds of golf on a beautifully preserved Donald Ross classic golf course, by all means do it, as youll be enjoying the terrific views the Holston Hills Country Club offers its visitors, together with the very challenging game-play, suitable for golfers of any skill level. Even if its relatively difficult, the course is fair and the staff incredibly friendly and well trained, making for a terrific choice for playing your favorite game in a beautiful location imbibed with tradition, with well-groomed greens and fairways together with its eroded/receded grassed bunkers which give the golf course authenticity and class.
