Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about connection you know we hear that word thrown around so much but I want to help you understand what connection is and make sure that you are your feeling it. Connection very simply is with the arms and body sternum hands zipper all were linked together through impact everything is working in a connected fashion. Your hips aren't leaving youyour arms aren't leaving your hands the club aren't leaving you everything goes back on everything goes through together thats connection.

Now a very popular way to work on connection made popular by Nick Faldo take a towel hold it under your arms like so make sure the ball is in reach obviously and then all you're going to do is hit some little wedges one two without the towel falling out. That little connection drill helps you to understand how to move back and forth with everything coordinated connection is a great thing because when you're connected what happens is it's very easy for you to hit the ball solid and it takes a lot of the hand action out of your swing. What will happen when you're disconnected with the arms start leaving the body all of a sudden everything starts to work you start to feel a lot of hand action with everything trying to recover faulty body motions. So if you want connection shove those arms against the body everything back everything through together that is how you have connection.
