I am hoping that you have built yourself a nice solid grip by now, you got your hands in a really good even position and that’s producing a nice square club face down at the impact position and giving you some nice straight golf shots, but if you feel that you really want to produce a shot that bends an awful lot, so not just a little draw or a little fade but sort of a get me out of trouble big hook around the tree or a hold it open and trying cut it back onto the fair where the opposite direction, one way you could do this is by manipulating your grip in such a fashion that it wouldn’t produce a square club face at impact, it would produce either an open or a close club face imparting spin on the golf ball to help the ball curve around sideways.

So if I take my normal grip, I would looked down I would able to see two, two and half, knuckles on the back of my top hand. If I wanted to strengthen my grip make it a stronger grip I would rotate my hand around to the side so I can now see three or even four knuckles placing my bottom hand around in a similar sort of fashion towards one side of the club, now when I make my swing my hands would probably want to fight back over to that neutral position hands would always want to try and turn to neutral, if I let my hands turn to neutral the club face will close and I will ht a vicious hook down the left hand side for the right handed golfer. So if I have my hands in a strong position as a right handed player, I would position both hands around to the right that will hook the golf ball and vice versa -- weak position placing my left hand too far to the left so I can only see one knuckle or even no knuckles let my right hand follow over the top as well into a very weak position make my normal swing the club face is going to come through in a very open position, carving the ball from left to right. So keep a nice neutral grip if you want to hit the ball straight, if you want to hit little draws and little fades work on good technique but if you want to hit that big get me out of trouble let me get hooking or cutting around the tree you can manipulate your grip into a strong or weak position to be able to spin the ball like that and have some experimentation on the driving range with have subtly you can move your grip to produce some quite dramatic effects out on the ball flight.
