From round about the six o’clock on the clock face through to round about three o’clock on the clock face. Start the club at six o’clock here. And then as we swing through six, five, four to three o’clock on the clock face there is quite a big grey area in golfers’ knowledge about that part of the swing. But it’s also one of the areas where we see the top pro’s are so very, very strong and other club golfers get quite weak in that part. And it’s an area you would often talk about as the release, so releasing the golf club correctly something that top professionals do very, very nicely is the extension and the release here.

And all the club golfers pull in this position their elbows become a long way apart and quite importantly therefore arms become a long way a part as well. Now you watch a good top professional through here generally speaking their going to have their arms very, very closely together. Couple of exception spring to mind people like Lee Westwood with Jordan Smith great golfers in their own rights. Their quite unique swings particularly in this through the ball position here. And for most club and amateur golfers if you can improve your fore arm position get your forearms nearer to each other of the ball here it will be almost exclusively be an improvement to your game. Having your forearms apart in this position causes lots of problems with direction and also distance control.
