Now talking about golf swing tempo we could consider this quite a big swing disconnect between the tempo of your swing and the overall efficiency, club head speed, and therefore the distance the golf ball flies. Now quite often golfer think to hit the ball further they need to swing quicker, and swing quicker in terms of club head speed at the ball. Yes you do really club head speed can be king the faster the club head speed is troubling the further the golf ball but doesn't mean the whole swing in particular the tempo of the swing should be faster in fact for a lot of golf is that to be bad to swinging back more slowly to swing down more quickly particular when you get to the driver. So we see golf is that with a 7 iron a wedge in the hands of lovely smooth fluid go swings but as soon as they grab the drive this club comes back.

So fast and then tries to come down fast and I actually see that when I'm measuring golf was with it with a radar in the in the teaching by that actually the faster they back swing sometimes the slower the downswing. It just doesn't seem to make sense to them that when they go back quick they actually come down slow but when you consider that a lot of energy can get used in sending this gold club back very quickly and particularly as this club changes direction. So then come down again we can use too much energy too much power just imagine if you reversing your car at 50 miles an hour to stop it and change directions to drive forwards is going to take a lot of energy the brakes. So the engine have to read really high just to slow you down to get you to go the other way if you reversing a 5 miles an hour you can pretty much bounce off and go forwards. So if this club comes backwards slowly it can come down with really quick but if it goes backwards quickly it takes a lot of effort to slow it down then reverse its and come back down again. So there's quite a big tempo to distance this connect fast tempo does not always mean long distance in fact with your driver sometimes reverse slow the tempo to increase the distance.
