In helping you to correct a slice which is a shot that swings from left to right for right handed golfers, one of the most problematic issues for golfers and players is coming over the top so that would mean that as they swing back down to the ball the club head is too far on the outside of the target line so they are coming over the top with this sort of action over here. Now one of the main causes for that for most amateur golfers is not turning their shoulders enough on that back swing, not getting a full shoulder turn means your hands aren’t as far behind you and as you start to swing down towards the ball you will throw the club forward which then makes it very difficult for the club to travel down the target line and would tend to give you more of an out to in swing path which if you close the club face on that will make the ball go left but more commonly opening the club face makes the ball go left to right with the side spin. So as you set up, work on getting a really good shoulder turn so that your shoulders turn to 90 degrees and your hands really come behind you on your back swing.

This will allow you to approach the ball from the inside on your down swing and stop you from making an over the top movement okay. So looking head on, we would like to see that as you turn the shoulders, the shoulders go from the start position here and they end up 90 degrees turned to the right at the top of the golf swing, this will allow you to approach from the inside giving you an in to out swing path which will really cut down your slice if you can correct your face angle.
