I have a little rule in my golf bag and is that I never throw away an old glove. Now you might look at some of your old gloves and think really, this one is a bit monkey, its all dark, it's all dirty, it's got a hole here and it's got a hole here and you wouldn’t really want to use that glove again. But how about you've been playing for three hours in the teeming rain, the rain has been streaming down on you for three hours, everything you touch you're soaking wet. A part from that monkey old glove with a hole in the corner, now would you want to wear it? Yeah you probably would, if your hands are wet, your towel is wet, every grip in your bag is wet but you could reach into your golf bag and pull out a little bag with all your old gloves in certainly that old glove feels like an absolutely brand new tight-less golf and then you can putt on fresh and it might stay dry for a cool of extra holes.

So, most good players are going to keep a little bag like this and the reason why we keep them in a little bag is just soon they don’t dry out because a golf glove that dries out can start to feel a bit brittle and not very nice when you put it on, but if you just keep them in a little sand wedge bags, something like that that new dry glove, well sorry, that old but dry glove half way around a day when everything else you touch is very wet will suddenly feel beautiful and brilliant and it will give you a great grip back on the club. It might only last a couple of extra holes but that’s a couple of holes that you can purr instead of doubly buggy because you can't hold onto the grip. So there is a little tip for you, never throw away an old glove, drop them in a little sand wedge bag, keep them tucked in the bottom corner of your bag as well. You might get three or four in there but that might be an extra nine or 12 holes of dry grips next time you play in the rain.
