Inbee Park is a 26 year old Korean golfer who up until 2014 was the number one ranked player in the women’s game. A fantastic talent she actually won the first three majors of the 2013 season the first player to reach that actual accolade. Apart from that she’s won a number of times on tour and has a fantastic technique that a lot of golfers can learn from. One of the best things about her technique is the downswing how she squats into impact and rotates the body. At the top of the swing she has a nice position, nice and extended with the shoulders turned very, very fully. Coming into impact she squats down with the knees lowering the level of her body before turning very, very aggressively and then extending the hips upwards.

Its a very, very, very powerful move used in the men’s game by Rory Mcilroy and by quite a few of the lady players as well. Its the deep down, the squat down, the turn of the hips and then real extension upwards through impact. And that sequence of movements really allows the power to be built from the ground upwards and to launch the ball very, very high and a very, very long way. So it’s the squat, the turn and the thrust, and a launch of the ball upwards. So a fantastic player and there should be a lot of competition between her and Lydia Ko in the years to come.
