Now if you already are, or you would like to be a one plane swinger of the club, there are a couple of key elements we would like to see within one plane swing. They are actually going to help you improve that one plane action.

Now the first thing is, we would like to see a really good solid stable platform on a stable base. One plane swing is a very strong rotation around the body, so standing to the golf ball with a very narrow stance probably just isn’t going to cut it. So we would like to have a stance at least the same width as your shoulders. The simplest way of doing that is just measure from shoulder to shoulder and just pinch the golf club in that position drop back down and that should sit as the inside of the width of stance, so it is quite a broad stance. The next thing we could look for is quite a strong grip. Now strong grip is not implying grip pressure necessarily. It is more about the location particularly of the right hand so left hand turns slightly to the right to see 2 ½, 3 knuckles, right hand turns slightly to the right again to get a nice strong firm hold on the club and that is going to allow the club to release over quite nicely. Having a weak grip and then swinging from the inside as a one plane swing tends to do really isn’t going to help you draw the ball for it is going to block it out. Another area similar to most different types of golf swings, we want to have some good balance. So we have got this nice broad platform, we have got this club coming around the body, coming down from the inside. We want to be nice and balanced not just forwards and backwards, but also left to right to make sure that you are in a good position here bringing the club into the ball from inside and then having a nice and relaxed follow through and finish position. And the last little tip that I could give you to improve your one plane swing is make sure it is satiable have a decent bend of your hips because the swing is more around the body. If you don’t bend from your hips and you stand up to the wall quite straight and then swing around your body. It will be super flat, ridiculously flat around here which is a big problem. So actually for a one plane swing make a really good solid bend of the hips, little bit lean over the golf ball here, now the one plane swing is going to up to a decent height, still not way high up here around your body still, because you have got a good spine angle tilt and come around the body well, drop to the inside, drive from the inside and hopefully using all those areas we have put into that swing. We see a nice one plane draws from right to left.
