Often if I ask a golfer what they're trying to achieve when they're hitting a chip shot onto a green, the answer is simple it's to get the ball as close to the flag as possible, and and that's a noble aim. It's necessary but not necessarily what we should be encouraging against having said that if I go strictly with the folk the focus of getting the ball as close as possible I might not be factoring in all the things I need particularly if the ball is on a very sloped green.
