The Callaway Odyssey O-Works R-Line Putter retails from $199.99 (MSRP) and it makes for a mid sized mallet featuring the company’s proprietary Microhinge Face Insert, a high contrast Versa alignment, adjustable weighting and a Superstroke grip. The difference between the Odyssey O-Works R-Line Putter and the CS version is that the latter has a center shaft; except from that, they’re pretty much identical. With their latest line of O-Works putters, Callaway revolutionized the golf market, and that’s due to their patented Microhinge Face Insert, courtesy of Odyssey, which is known for setting the standard in the industry for over 2 decades via their innovations. One of the greatest insert technologies ever introduced by Odyssey was the White Hot insert, but their latest Microhinge Face Insert is even better, as Odyssey’s Research and Development department focused on improving the effect of their hybrid face insert at impact, and the end result is absolutely amazing.

The new Odyssey O-Works R-Line Putters will change the way you look at putting forever, as they basically created a new way to roll. The Microhinge Face Insert works wonders in terms of providing unparalleled gains in roll and topspin at impact, almost regardless of your stroke. This hybrid face insert consists of a stainless steel made plate which is embedded into Callaway’s proprietary Thermoplastic Elastomer Feel Layer, a technological gimmick that provides great feel, and it also allows the micro-hinges to lift the ball, which ends up into a better roll. On top of that, the Callaway Odyssey O-Works R-Line Putters come with a brand new and improved alignment technology, the Versa Alignment thingy, that allows you to determine the ideal face angle from address to impact throughout your putting stroke, thus offering you the much-needed assistance to make sure you’re lined up perfectly to your target. It’s worth noticing the new Versa Alignment Technology which is now available in all Odyssey O-Works R-Line Putters was developed in collaboration with Tour pros, hence it’s been “field tested” so to speak, i.e. it really works. Bottom line, if you’re looking for great alignment aid, a fantastic feel upon ball impact and smooth roll, you should definitely give Odyssey O-Works R-Line Putters a chance.
