Martin Piller is an American professional golfer who was born in Dallas, Texas, yet he grew up in Duncanville. Between 2004 and 2008, he played golf at Texas A&M, and after graduation, Martin Piller turned pro in 2008; in the same year, he won the 2008 Texas State Open. The love for golf was instilled by his brother, with whom Martin Piller spent his summer days playing at Thorntree CC. His wife Gerina is also a golf aficionado, as she plays on the LPGA TOUR; she is well known for representing the United States in the Olympic games. Besides golf, Martin Piller loves pick-up hockey, hunting and woodworking.

Since 2009, Martin Piller played on the Nationwide Tour, achieving his first victory on Tour at the 2010 Stadion Athens Classic at UGA, thus winning his PGA Tour card. The next year, he married Gerina Mendoza, who just started playing on the LPGA Tour in 2011.
