    Henry was born in Fairfield, Connecticut in 1975. He played golf while attending Texas Christian University, and was runner up at the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships in 1998. Henry turned professional later that year. Henry started his professional career on the Nationwide Tour, but after winning the BUY.COM Knoxville Open in 2000, he moved to the PGA Tour for the following season. Henry’s first win on the PGA Tour came at the Buick Championship in 2006. That same year, he was part of the US Ryder Cup team.

    Henry almost achieved his second win, at the Byron Nelson Championship in 2012. He eventually finished two strokes behind the winner. Later in 2012, Henry was finally successful in achieving his second tour win, at the Reno-Tahoe Open. As a result Henry earned a place to compete at the PGA Championship which was taking place the following week.

    Away from golf, Henry is a family man, who lives with his wife Lee, and their two children in Fort Worth, Texas. Henry is also known for his philanthropic activity. Henry founded the Henry House Foundation in 2006. The aim of the foundation is to promote awareness of projects in the community that support the health and well-being of children. Through the foundation, specific projects in Fort Worth and Southern New England receive funding that they need.

    As of the end of 2014, Henry had achieved two wins on the PGA Tour, amassing total prize money of $14,108,390.
