Born in Fort Devens, Massachusetts Quigley comes from a family in which he isn’t the only one with golf in his veins; his uncle is the PGA Tour and Champions Tour professional, Dana Quigley. Quigley actually caddied for his uncle at the Greater Hartford Open, on the 1982 Champions Tour. His father Paul also had a love of golf, and was a top amateur golfer in New England. Quigley discovered his love of golf at an early age, and went on to study at the University of South Carolina, where he was twice Academic All-American.

Quigley won the 1987 US Junior Amateur, before going on to turn professional in 1991. Since turning professional Quigley has spent time playing on both the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. He has had a varied amount of success, having achieved two wins on the Nationwide Tour, the 1996 NIKE Philadelphia Classic, and the 2001 BUY.COMArkansas Classic, and finishing at best in second place on the PGA Tour. Although he does not have a large build, Quigley is a good driver, but his main strength lies in the short game.

Away from the golf course Quigley has made his home in Jupiter, Florida. As of the end of 2014 Quigley has yet to achieve a win on the PGA Tour, having amassed total prize money of $11,058,694.
